Congratulations to all our athletes from Union County who competed in the Summer Games for Special Olympics this past weekend in Raleigh. So very proud of each and every one of them! We came home with many gold medals 🏅 in Gymnastics, representing Union County.

We were so proud when our gymnast Melissa Sheppard was honored in the opening ceremony. She was one of two athletes from the the whole state selected to carry the tourch. Well done Melissa.
