Union County Gymnastics is proud to have a team of qualified and trained instructors from our local community, including experienced gymnasts and college students from Wingate University.
Our instructors are chosen not only for their knowledge and experience in gymnastics, but also for their ability to teach, encourage, and connect with athletes of all abilities.
Each instructor is committed to providing safe, progressive, and personalized instruction in a friendly, positive, and encouraging environment.

Meet Our Owner
I grew up as a gymnast in Oregon, where I eventually owned and operated my own gymnastics facility. I have been a USA Gymnastics coach for more than 30 years, and gymnastics has been a lifelong passion and calling for me.
Our family moved to North Carolina 20 years ago, and I quickly fell in love with the community and the area. After spending 12 years serving on the mission field, we returned to North Carolina, where I am grateful to continue doing what I love—helping athletes grow in strength, confidence, and character.
My passion for gymnastics and for serving others has also taken me around the world. I established and own Haiti Gymnastics in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, creating opportunities for athletes there to experience the joy and benefits of gymnastics.
I am passionate about creating a gym where every athlete—regardless of age, ability, or experience—feels welcomed, encouraged, and given the opportunity to shine.
My love of athletics continues beyond coaching. I still train and compete in adult gymnastics and have also competed in bodybuilding and fitness. I believe in lifelong movement, strength, and continuing to challenge ourselves at every age.
Founder
MARY ANNE ORLANDO
Mary Anne built more than a gymnastics program—she built a community centered on encouraging athletes and serving others. When it came time to pass on the gym, she didn’t simply want to sell a business; she wanted to find someone who shared her heart for the mission. We are honored to continue the legacy she began and to carry that vision forward today.
